The region is well known for prime agricultural land that produces a premium quality beef and Ebony is no exception. Black Angus Cattle in the Ebony program are hand selected and grain finished for 100 days.

Canada’s beef herd is built on British and European continental breeds known for their superior meat quality. Some of the more popular beef breeds in Canada are Angus, Hereford, Charolais and Simmental. These breeds are well-known for their ability to produce well-marbled, tender and flavorful beef.
These breeds also perform particularly well in Canada’s temperate climate, which allows producers to raise beef breeds based solely on their ability to produce high quality beef. Competitors in warmer climates have to factor in a breeding trait to resist heat, which significantly affects the quality of the product

In accordance with our company’s long tradition of supporting our most important asset, our farmers, we are proud to present this brand as part of the Security Foods Quality Assured Farmer Fed ™ range. Our cattle are sourced from some of the best temperate climate zones for cattle production in Australia, including the Northern Tablelands and Central Slopes and Plains of NSW. The cattle graze free range on perennial pastures such as clover and rye grass and are finished for 120-150 days on a special ration designed for optimal marbling, meat and fat color.
